Your loved is taken to our mortuary, based in Moorabbin. They remain in our care, we do not use contract mortuary services. As trained professional funeral directors, you can only expect the highest level of care and respect.
How quickly can the cremation take place?
Depending on the release of your loved one to us and the speed at which doctors can provide certification, cremation can occur in as little as 24 hours, but would typically take place within a few days to a week. You choose when this occurs.
How long does it take to get the cremated remains back?
As we use Melbourne based crematoria, cremated remains or ashes can be returned as quickly as 48 hours after cremation. Cremated remains are returned with a cremation certificate identifying the remains. Ashes can be scattered or interred in the containment they are returned to you in. Should you not wish the cremated remains returned, it is also possible to have remains scattered at the crematorium.
How do I get a death certificate?
We register your loved ones death with Births Deaths and Marriages Victoria and apply for a full death certificate on your behalf. questions about direct cremation
What does the coffin look like and what type of coffin is used?
We use and recommend the Daisybox. The Daisybox is an economical and eco-friendly alternative to traditional timber coffins, made from cardboard and with natural cotton rope handles. Some families choose to collect the daisy box from us and decorate it prior to cremation, adding a personal and touching farewell to their loved one.
